Windows Vista and 64-bit Beta 7.02.02

Welcome to the Virtual Tablet Interface Version Beta Program.  Please bookmark this page and visit from time to time for additional beta updates.

General

In addition to new and improved features, Version 7 of the Virtual Tablet Interface now supports Windows Vista and Windows XP (both in 32-bit and 64-bit editions).

Support for Windows 2000; Windows 9X versions including Windows 95, Windows 98 and Millennium; and all 16-bit platforms including Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups has been discontinued.

Drivers

Support for CalComp DrawingBoard VI, GTCO AccuTab II and IV, and GTCO Super L VI digitizers has been added.

Support for Com 5 and Com 6 has been added to facilitate Serial-USB converters.

An intermittent error in saving and restoring task settings on machines running more than 64 processes has been fixed.

Templates

Changing tablet types now gives you a choice of rescaling regions so long as the regions remain within the new active area size.

Documentation

All documentation is now supplied in HTML.

Documentation in Portable Document Format (PDF) has been discontinued.

Known Issues

Users must manually start the Tablet Manager from the list of blocked startup programs in Windows Defender under Windows Vista.

bulletUSB tablets are not currently supported under Windows Vista.

Click here to download the 32-bit beta VTI32B.EXE or the 64-bit beta VTI64B.EXE which contain the complete product including the setup program, multi-tasking device drivers for over 500 digitizers, tablet manager, template designer, sample styles and templates and help files. This is a 45 day limited beta. Final release is expected Spring 2008 and is not available for purchase before then.
